General comments
Bij klinische behandeling van pelvic inflammatory disease (PID): ceftriaxon intramusculair 500 mg (eenmalig) vervangen door ceftriaxon iv 2000 mg 1dd voor tenminste 24 uur. Voor een iv regime kunnen levofloxacine 2dd 500 mg iv en metronidazol 2 dd 500 mg iv gegeven worden.
Bij groot tubo-ovarieel abces, drainage en overweeg metronidazol 500 mg 3 dd i.p.v. 2 dd
